This project took me through a deep dive into the life and work of Massimo Vignelli, one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. I began by researching his modernist philosophy, then organized content into a clear visual hierarchy. The layout integrates typography, photography, and original illustrations, all structured within a grid system to reflect Vignelli’s clean, purposeful style.
The result is a concise, visually engaging biography that honors his legacy through thoughtful design.

Between Stops
Created in my Experimental Bookmaking course, this project responds to a brief challenging us to produce a book using a commercial process. I documented my daily bus commute from downtown Cincinnati to NKU, capturing fleeting moments through photography. Using Blurb, I designed and ordered a professionally bound photo book that highlights the quiet rhythm of public transit and overlooked urban scenes.
This project blends storytelling, photography, and publication design to explore themes of transportation, routine, and place through an observational lens.
Cookin' Up Memories
This hand-bound recipe book was created as the final project in my Experimental Bookmaking course, combining visual storytelling, layout design, and analog craft. I used this project to explore personal narrative through design. I illustrated each dish by hand, ingredients were recalled from memory, and the instructions were written as short stories, transforming traditional recipe structure into a storytelling device.
The book merges publication layout, illustration, and physical book construction, showcasing experimentation and emotion in print design.
DREAMSCAPE
This poster was designed for a fictional psychological thriller. The visual concept focuses on surreal imagery and layered textures to create a sense of mystery, suspense, and subconscious tension. The goal was to create a poster that immediately draws viewers into the world of the film.
This project showcases my skills in narrative-driven design, visual metaphor, and layout composition. It emphasizes how a single image can encapsulate a full, emotional story.
